TSKgel Standard Polyethylene Oxide

TSKgel Standard Polyethylene Oxide was developed to meet demand for a high-molecular-mass aqueous standard polymer. Synthesized by living anionic polymerization, this product, like its sister product TSKgel Standard Polystyrene, has an extremely sharp molecular mass distribution. The polymer is available in 7 types, with molecular mass values of 20,000 – 900,000.

The polymer can be used as a test sample for liquid chromatography, such as SEC using water (buffer) or alcohol as a solvent, for evaluating the performance of a separation membrane, or for calibrating light-scattering detector and other molecular mass analysis devices. It can also be used for biochemical research.

Features

  • The molecular mass distribution is extremely sharp. For all 7 types, Mw/Mn is guaranteed to be less than 1.2.
  • The products are provided with data sheets showing characteristic values, such as molecular mass and molecular mass distribution, and providing information on analytical methods.
  • Since the chemical structure of the polymer is substantially the same as that of commercially available polyethylene glycol, a series of standard materials with a wide molecular mass range (100 – 1,000,000) can be prepared by using commercial products.
